A chair that is anything but cheesy ......

Chair design by Tatsuo Yamamoto, called the Mozzarella Chair.
It is a woven fabric stretched over a 2mm thick stainless steel frame. The skin of the chair is kept in tension so that it retains its distinctive "raw" shape, like some natural material before it has been carved/extruded/melted/worked to it's finished shape. A large, sofy cushion is placed and positioned between sections of the steel frame. The shape of the chair "gives", just like a piece of mozzarella. The texture is smooth and soft to the touch.

The overall impression is of a very smart, japanese-minimalist object, which, because it casts no shadow on itself, is subtle and showy at the same time.
