Motorcyles with Modern lines and Vintage feel.

Beaurifully designed, minimalist, but somehow luxurious motorbikes from Mac Motorcycles.
The Buell single cylinder engine provides quite a kick and allowed the designers to produce these sleek designs. Air-cooled, 2-valve, push rod, 492cc, 5-speed 'Blast' engine. They're called "thumpers" and you'll know why when you hear one. The transmission is down low giving a low centre-of-gravity that helps great handling. The fuel is enriched en route to the pot and these Mac motorbikes exploit the power-to-weight ratio principle with this great little motor and a very light rolling-chassis.

They're sleek and elegant, while constantly reminding me of the the grunt bikes of the 60's and early 70's, with that reservered, very gentlemanly British style. The names, perhaps more than anything, give us some clues to the designers brief and background - Spud, Pea Shooter, Ruby, Roarer - the kind of unassuming names which evoke images of fun and furious tinkering in a shed.
